Have you ever named or befriended an inanimate object? What did you call it?
there's a little mariachi marionette man randomly hanging on the wall in the postage room at the lebowski fest headquarters that i recently named pedro, and later found out that a couple of the other guys are freaked out by him hanging there. i like him. i say hey to him every time i walk in the room, and occasionally the conversation continues from there...
this isn't an inanimate object, but last year an inch worm of sorts made a cocoon in the corner wall of our shower. i named him earl and watched it every day hoping to be witness to the transformation into a butterfly or moth. well one day i looked, and he was gone and i was left to clean up the remains of his shedding.
