Back to Basics
It's 'definitely', internets! This is easy. To turn 'definite' into an adverb, you add '-ly'. Why does just about everyone on the internet type 'definately', or 'definatly', or even 'defiantly' (a different word entirely)? Even netizens who spell everything else right tend to get this one wrong.
