My cat really has my number.
She's realized that if looking cute with those little curved “begging paws”, and those sleepy half-closed eyes, and that adorable little chirp she makes when I approach won't cause me to bend over until I black out to pet her on the floor while I'm passing...... Then GUILT will work. This is when those half-closed eyes take on a more calculating look, and somehow she telepathically conveys the guilt-inducing reminder that she just heaved her hulking carcass off of wherever she was completely comfortable and lumbered over to directly underfoot, and flopped thuddingly (she really is losing that girlish figure) onto the floor... for just one tiny minute of mind-blowing pleasure in her tortured, stressful existence. Would just 60 seconds be too much to ask?
Yeah, she's that good with the guilt. She can really sell it.
