The Things I Do For You.....
I learned a new word today - “prolix”. I was popping in to Dictionary.com and it was the Word of the Day. Without getting verbose about it, here is the definition:
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/prolix Prolix -adjective
1, extended to great, unnecessary, or tedious length; long and wordy.
2, (of a person) given to speaking or writing at great or tedious length.
Origin:
1375-1425; late Middle English < Latin prōlixus extended, long, equivalent to prō- pro-1 + -lixus, akin to līquī to flow; see liquor
LIQUOR really?
So then there's a tendency for drunk people to talk too much? I didn't know that. Wow, yet another reason I'm grateful I never drink. I was just counting up expensive, fattening, puts me straight to sleep (head on the table, missing all the fun), and tastes like camel piss! But if it causes people to talk too much, then I suppose this would be YOUR reason to be grateful that I don't drink ! ;-) Hmm. So rather than my abstinence just being a personal lifestyle decision,...
I can elevate the choice to altruism - for the good of society !
