I think my cat is really trying to get a message across to me, but she's too polite to just say it outright. I've noticed that nearly every time I start singing soprano, classical music, along with what's playing on the laptop, she gets up from wherever the lazy thing is sleeping at that moment and jumps on my chair. Then she starts licking my hand really gently, with a rather odd, almost sympathetic look on her face, then, with a rather resigned air, flops down next to me for me to pet her. It's the “look” that's really different from other times, though. I swear it looks just like
“Mom, are you ALL RIGHT? Can I HELP? Do we need to CALL someone?”
It's really not very good for my ego......
