Amma says, " The life force that pulsates in the trees, plants and animals is the same life force that pulsates within us. The same life energy that gives us the power to speak and to sing is the power behind the song of the bird and the roar of the lion. Sometimes, I'll have these dreams where I'm fucking this extremely sultry girl from behind. Her body is voluptuous, lush, warm. Every inch of skin is like honey and marble, and her lithe frame shudders with each thrust, back and forth, that cressendo of physical extacy building up in spasms, heat, and wetness. Before things become uncontrollable, those seconds preceeding that final sublime fortissimo, the closest the two of us could ever be, the girl turns her head and looks at me to reveal an unguarded countenance. Her eyebrows furrowed up, her cheeks flushed, hair matted down and tussled up wildly; and there's that expression: expectant, antagonized with pleasure, a silent plea and affirmation both present in the way her teeth sink into her bottom lip and she nods and I push forward...
And it's you. It's you from that one summer. That summer I brought you a cake for your mom's birthday and that day we finally consummated all those insane adolescent feelings we had for each other. That summer we drove home from santa cruz in your moms car, exploring one another under that blanket in the back seat. That summer you broke my heart, and I tried my hardest to break everything I could that you had.
I wake up from this dream in a cold sweat, mainly because I feel like your ghost just hopped off my dick and ran out of the room seconds earlier. It's never easy to go to sleep after that one. Take that one as you will, Zoe, but just know that for whatever reason I never have been quite able to shake you out of my head for good.
