Great Bible Study...

I had a pretty tough week last week and it seemed that everything in my life, every aspect, was going terrible! I felt that i couldnt do anything without something bad or discouraging happening. I got to the point where I just busted out in tears for about a half hour when i was talking to my mom about everything. I was faithfully reminded, soon after from a great friend, of the verse John 16:33. I needed to dive into the Word and swim in it...let Gods grace and peace cleanse all of me. It was then, when i dove into the Word, Prayed, sung praises to Him, that i was completely at peace with what was going on in my life. Tonight, Jena and I did a bible study together; listened to Loren, our Pastor at our church in Bend, on a recording from Sundays service. It completely focused on what i had been going through! Coincidence? I think not!...Here is what i learned tonight:

We are encouraged to share the gospel!! That is our mission. What God wants us to do may seem fuzzy at first, like a poloroid picture. The Lord begins to develop the purpose for us to see when the time is right. But during that time of fuzziness, keep your eye on the prize...the prize meaning the Lord! The Lord is our trophy! The Lord is EVERYTHING! Everything your looking for you will find in the person of Jesus Christ! When your feeling down and discouraged, feeling like you are a prisoner of life, what do you do?! The answer: Pray and Sing Praises to the Lord! Go to the Lord! Go to the Word! Pray! Praise God! That is where you will find "bail" for your feeling of imprisonment. The Lord allowed for you to be in these situations so He has a reason for your struggle. He wants you to be still. It is then that doors will open up! Instead of pouting about your situation, PRAY! Instead of murmuring your frustrations, SING PRAISES TO THE LORD! What does this do??? The answer: God gives us this tool so that we can take the focus off of ourselves and back onto whats important, HIM! And also for others to see the Lord in us! For us to Witness! PRAISE THE LORD!! BELIEVE!! PRAY!! The Lord overcame the WORLD so that in Him we may have PEACE! SO HAVE PEACE!
