Out of the corner of his eye Danny watches Steve sway just slightly. Quickly checking the team he sees how tired they all are. "Okay kids," clasping his hands, "bed time for Five-O." No argument from any of them. They all head off to their offices to gather their belongings. 'That wasn't so hard,' it shows how truly exhausted they all were. "No one before 9 am tomorrow," he says loudly. Kono and Chin wave and head out. Looking at Steve's office he sees the blinds are drawn and the room is dark, 'no happening!'

Going into his own office Danny gets his stuff together, he shuts down the office, and heads into Steve's office. Quietly he gathers Steve's stuff. Putting Steve's gun on his belt, badge in his pocket, and puts his wallet in his pocket. "Whadya doin?" Steve slurs slightly from letting sleep take hold so quickly. Trust a SEAL to be asleep in five minutes.

"You are not sleeping in your office." Holding up his hand to stop the retort, "you are not a SEAL anymore. You have a perfectly good bed at home." Danny reaches out and pulls Steve from the couch, he hadn't even bothered to take his shoes off.

"M, k!" He mumbled out as Danny continued him through the office and out the door.

The progress to the truck, oh yes he was going to drive the truck, was slower than he would have liked. A six foot SEAL is harder to move that a four foot monkey. After strapping Steve into the passenger seat Danny smiled. Getting into the driver seat he gripped the wheel. Making the mirror adjustments and seat adjustments he started the truck. He missed having a truck. In Jersey he had a truck to get him around in the winter. But who needs a truck in Hawaii? Obviously a SEAL. Of course they always took Danny's car almost everyone. Danny missed his old truck and he would never let Steve know that.

A soft snore from Steve and Danny pulled out of the HQ parking lot. The 20 minute drive to Steve's was pretty easy and quiet. Danny had the radio turned to a classic rock station and hummed with a song. Yes he was as tired as the others, but this is where having a child gave him the edge. There was always that extra space of reserve energy to get the child down and comfortable before you passed out yourself.

Pulling into the driveway Danny had a plan of action formed. He would leave Steve in the truck until he got everything in the house ready. Hell, it was the same basic plan he used with Grace. Why mess with perfection right? It took about 10 minutes to the house darkened, coffee maker set up and the bed turned down. Steve's gun was locked in the side drawer, not like Danny didn't know about the spare gun hidden between the mattress and the wall at the head of the bed. He added a glass of water.

After making sure everything was set he went back outside to get the super SEAL. A smile of endearment tugged at the edges of his tired lips when he saw the slight drool on the side of Steve's mouth. "Come on big guy. Let's get you to bed." Unbuckling Steve Danny saw how sluggish Steve responded to his being woken. If he wasn't so tired he would have come fully awake. "You are one tired super SEAL. Come on Steve."

There was no fight at all this time. As the two men worked their way upstairs and to Steve's bedroom Danny's reserve was starting to empty. He couldn't contain his smile as he moved the pliant man through his house. Pliant SEAL was a whole completely different that action SEAL.

Sitting Steve on the edge of his bed, "life." Danny pulls Steve's boots off.

"Turn," removing the holster and badge on the side table.

"Back," a gentle push and he deftly removed Steve's belt and cargo pants.

"Up," grabbing his hand he stood the pliant SEAL up.

"Turn," he moved the sleeping man to the upper part of the bed.

"Down," gently he pushed him onto the bed. Simple commands worked. Maybe he should remember this for another day.

After tucking his legs under the covers he pulled them up to cover Steve. Turning to leave a strong hand on his wrist, "stay."

Sometimes the simple commands worked best.
