What has South Carolina got that I don't?
Guy has gone to visit family and friends in South Carolina. We had a big fight Saturday night, which was a great way to go to bed when we had to get him to OAK at 3:30 in the morning. Yeesh. Anyway, I'm always amazed at how you can miss your significant other within hours just because you know he or she is far away, as if distance somehow intensifies absence. Then again, I do love my alone time, which is entirely the opposite of Guy and therefore is rarely available to me. So I'm going to try to enjoy the bittersweet nature of a week without him.
Easter was nice. I had breakfast with my family, and then went to Fig's new place and enjoyed a nice little BBQ with her and her beau. Granted, I'm not his biggest fan, but I have come to accept that she's not going to leave him--for now. And it turned out to be a nice day: beautiful weather, good food, and some good ol' fashion fun, a la "Scattegories". Not a bad way to spend a peaceful holiday.
And tomorrow I'll be back to the political grind...
