At the end of January (the first month of teaching) I weighed the least I ever have: 110 lbs. It was an unhealthy low, even on my short little body, but I blame the job: during those first few weeks, I could barely find the time or inclination to eat anything; although I did eventually find some of my appetite, I only gained about 5lbs and sustained that weight until May. From there, I gained about 10lbs, a high of 125 lbs by August.
My saving grace was the move to our cottage, which is about a five minute walk from the gym, and a weekly regime of 5 days of cardio. I'm down to a leaner, more muscular 120. I'd still like to get down to 115, but perhaps it's more important that I'm probably healthier this way.
I can tell you this: jogging up the four flights of stairs to my office without being out of breath makes me smile every time.
