i am now in Oregon, watching Fellowship, listening to my sister grunt into her phone.
the flight was really nice. it was about 2 hours from LAX to Portland over clouds and greenery. it was lovely. Oregon and Washington are so much more beautiful than LA and southern california.
when we touched down, natalie and i were pretty antsy and we annoyed our parents for a bit. we got to the hotel, which i was disappointed in, no DVD player :(
we then went to a nice restaurant and talked about Portland more. all the colleges are around our hotel so there are a lot of college people and bars and restaurants around. it's really interesting. i could certainly grow to love it here.
after dinner we went to an epic store that was like an indie Walmart... if that were possible... we spent about an hour buying like 20 things, some of that hour at the self checkout. epic fail on our part. after we finally got through buying everything, we were waiting for my mom and there was a DVD stand.
i saw if from quite a few feet away. The Aviator, you bitch. how dare you haunt me so. i want it so bad.... and of course, after we had already paid for everything and besides, my parents wouldn't just buy it willy-nilly. AND it didn't have special features.
so tonight, we're planning on some Sherlock and Star Trek <3333
tomorrow, Saturday Market.. maybe the zoo? and dinner with my parent's college friend. exciting.
