Back to the office. Another pleasant, altogether uneventful day. I even showed up over an hour late, due to some confusion (read: sleeping in) on my part.
Had the chance to talk to and really help out a constituent, which made me feel good.
Found out that the (senile?) woman who came in a couple weeks ago had to be removed by security (hopefully without force), which made me feel bad.
The office got a new intern today. He's currently a working on his master's thesis for Middle East history. We had a long chat about that and he got me interested in a grad program in Tel Aviv, where he is studying.
Had cake in the Senator's office for a coworker's birthday. RW was still absent. I chose to forego the wine.
According to FOXNews.com, RW tried to charge to a credit card a bran muffin at the Fleet Center Dunkin' Donuts but ended up paying cash and asking for a receipt (

Apparently the $100 was NOT a mistake and Taryn refused to take back the $40 I offered her.
Briefly attended to Maurice and Makalah when I got home. They seem to be warming up to the idea of me as an authority figure, though Makalah will never fully accept authority from ANYONE. That may serve her well in life.
Hopped on over to Shauna's for some tea. The two uf us sat on the porch and sipped tea, talking and watching the rain. It was really comforting. I stayed for dinner with her new housemate-to-be. She and her boyfriend were very nice and knew (if indirectly) from Beloit College my childhood best friend CJ Green.
Came home. Did whatever. Placed a phone call to Michigan and was surprised to hear Pam, my ex's mother, on the other end. (Editor's Note: "Ex" has a negative connotation which should not be implied in this instance.) We had a nice little chat.
Now I plan to read Tom Robbins for the rest of the evening and decide whether or not I want to go to the Holocaust Museum tomorrow. I've been putting it off and I don't have much time left. The only problem is that I want to give it some time to sink in and I don't have a lot of time this week.
Grace called me last night to let me know that she got home safe, as I had requested she would. She called at 1.00 AM. I suddenly realized that she had called earlier today. I was very, very bleary.
Also, in addition to all of my moving, NOW (Shauna's employer) has just today completed a full move of their offices to a new building, this one farther from George W. Bush.
Lastly, I forgot to mention that I am fairly sure that yesterday I saw two people doing coke in the street next to me as I waited for a bus. Eugh...
