Quorra probably hadn't quite made the connection between food coloring and the slushies. Then again, when food coloring was used in most foods she had, it didn't dye people's mouths...

"Well... wouldn't it be more fun if we did it both? I mean, I wouldn't want you to get bored!"

Yeah. Like there was danger of that...

"I'm pretty sure we'll have fun any way we try it." In fact, he was very sure of it.

"You lead, I'll follow?"

"Mmm." Grins. Wide. "Good! Let's... see how your hand is doing?" The one where she drew the spiral a bit ago. You know, the icy one.

She took his palm between both of hers and lifted it between them.

Okay, not much coloring, but there was still some of the slushie trickling. So... she licked it off.

Nngh. Now that little hiss of breath had nothing whatsoever to do with the cold of the slushie. Or the flush coloring the edges of his cheeks.

"Uh." Experiments. Not those kinds of experiments. "Color doesn't seem to be taking as well."

Just a bit distracted there, Eric was.

Her mouth twisted to one side in concentration. Not that she didn't notice the hiss or the distraction, but she was genuinely curious!

And who said experiments had to be of one kind only?

"So... why on the tongue yes, but on the hand no? It's... the skin isn't the same all over, is it? Or ... isn't it...? And maybe it has something to do with how long it stays in contact? Because almost a full slushie... even with the brain freeze, it takes a while to drink it all, and even more without it..."

Her fingers were caressing the back of his hand as she thought aloud. And the inside of his palm, too.

Trying to pull his mind around to what she was curious about, or at least, that aspect of it, was difficult. He managed, he thought. Sort of.

"Maybe, um. A little of both?" He'd never thought of it before.

But some of those touches were distracting.

"So..." She might be almost distracted by his expressions, and no, she doesn't stop the touching, even while she comes up with the question.

"Do I put some on you to see if staying longer will be better, or do you put some on me? Where do you think it'll last the longest?"
