"I started writing out ideas that could reasonably happen within the pre-existing world without having to do any personality or lore swaps at all." - My favorite type of Swap AUs. ✨ Sort of like a version of Inverted Fate for SU fandom.
If only other gems' backstories were as wishy-washy as Jasper's.. then this AU could potentially happen to be a little bit boring, lol.
"unlike the normal show, instead of healing perfect it heals with an orange scar on it where the crack used to be" - Now that I think about it, if Lapis's gem was perfectly healed like in the original show there'd be no way to tell it had ever been cracked until it'd be revealed during a backstory. We don't get to see too many scarred gems and it definitely adds some level of interest

I don't think she truly believes it but it would be funny for her to say it just to upset the Rubies and make a reference to the original Jailbreak, lol.

Probably Amethyst ngl, because at least when Pearl was bubbled she was asleep. Amethyst was buried alive and AWARE.

Imagine if Steven thought that he could show her those VHS tapes recorded for him and it'd give Pearl some consolation, but how would she be able to handle watching them? T-T"

She'll get her spotlight when I get a little further into the show and actually see her again so she's fresh in my memory. I HAVE SOME SCENE IDEAS FOR HER IN MY HEAD SHE LOOKS SO FUN TO DRAW maybe I'll even draw some fusions if we get lucky
