It was actually cool today
After a week where every day was above 80 degrees and humid, it finally was semi-tolerable today. It was about 75 degrees around 5 pm after it rained. I got the new White Stripes CD today and I really like it. Each song is really different, which is enjoyable.
In Research news I tried to get into the lab today to continue the tutorial for the simulation program, only to find out that my card did not work. This was a pain because it is about a 15 minute walk and this was when it was really humid and above 80 degrees, so by the time I reached the building I was really sweaty and hot. Normally this would be okay because the lab that I work in is air conditioned, but I couldn't get into the room I needed to, so I had to go back out into the really hot humid weather. I want a snowball fight!!
Still Reading "the Iliad". I'm a little bit less than half-way through it, and it is starting to pick up and I'm really starting to enjoy it. I think I like Hector the best. He seems to be the hero in my mind. He is trying to protect his city from the ramifications of the actions of his brother, Paris. I just feel he seems to get the raw deal in the whole story.
