63 - The number of hours I stayed at work this past week
0 - The number of results that I have
1 - The number of Girl Scout Troop Leaders that I have had
I was in the lab until 1 am Friday morning, when the grad students who were working with me finally decided to give up. My feeling was, if the grad students who have been working with integrated optics couldn't get an output from our waveguide, then how could I? So, I am pretty much done with the research experience. All I need to do is to do my presentation which shouldn't be hard and to write my paper, which again shouldn't be hard.
Today I finally got to ride my bike again. I was going to go to a gas station near Cornell to fill up the front tire of my bike, since it was getting soft. This meant I had to carry 75 cents while riding my bike, which was kind of annoying. When I get to the station I find out that the air pump is out of order. I don't know where the nearest gas station is other than this one, so I ride to the commons, which is down the hill. I finally find a gas station which has a working air pump and I fill up my tire. The problem with this is that I have to go back up the hill now. I made it though, I rode my bike up the Buffalo street hill.
I have enjoyed my summer here in Ithaca very much and I hope that I can keep in touch with the awesome people that I met this summer. As I said to Noel and Troy tonight, I think Live Journal will probably be the best way to do this, since it is very easy to read and comment to. But hey, I still have a week of limited work to have fun! (YAY Stella's) Part of me is looking forward to being at school, especially because I enjoy the classes. I do have to get cracking on studying for the GRE, the verbal section of the general and the quantum section of the Physics test). Also have to start working on graduate school applications. The few weeks between now and school are going to be studying, training, applying, and appointments. There will also be a trip to Philadelphia for a family reunion, which I am really looking forward to.
I will be posting some picture to my live journal scrapbook, and when I can figure out how to link to them here you will get to see them. The ones I am thinking of now are the triathlon pictures.
I haven't said anything about what I've been reading recently, so I guess I'll inform you. I am actually reading nothing. I finished "The Wizard and Glass" yesterday. I don't think I am going to read the next book in the series right away, but I will continue reading the series at some point, cause I do enjoy it.
