What's New York?
So, I never made it to New York City Today. I woke up at 6:15, and took care of getting ready and having breakfast and was at the bus by 6:50. There were two buses that pulled up and iI get on the first one. Everything is going well until about halfway through the trip. the bus slows down and the check engine light comes on. We pull into a rest stop around 9:15 AM. The driver calls mechanics from Binghamton, which get to where we were at about 10:40 AM. It takes them 20 minutes to get the bus running again. We leave the rest stop around 11:00 AM. We are on the road for about 10 minutes before the bus slows down again. We go back to the rest stop and arrive about 11:30 AM. The bus driver calls for a new bus, which will take about 3 hours to get to us. We wait, and the new bus finally gets to us at 2:00 PM. We get on, and are told it will be about 3 more hours to NYC which would be 5:00 PM. The latest we could leave NYC would be 8:00 PM. The majority of people vote to just go back to Ithaca. We did stop for some for of afternoon meal at an Old Country Buffet, which the Bus company paid for. We got back to Ithaca about 5:30 PM. So that was my adventure. I don't know whether the trip will be rescheduled, I'm just happy not to be on a bus any more.
