that takes a lot off my mind

Going Wet was this past Saturday. That night was interesting for myself and that's about all I'll say about it.

So, this past saturday, around 12:30, I get an e-mail with the subject line, "Acceptance to the Optics MS program". So, about 2 weeks after I sent in my application, I get the response back. I know now that no matter what, I have a place to be next year. I haven't heard from Cornell yet, but I should hear soon. I have to see what news I get from Cornell, but I'm about 60/40 on coming back to Rochester next year. For the first part, I unofficially know that I will get 50% off tuition (~15000) since I will be an alumni of UR. I will also have a teaching assistantship (~5000). That means I have the option to get my masters in one year, for about $10000. I will take more optics classes, which is what I want. This also gives me two options after my masters. If I decide I want to continue on and get my PhD, I can apply with a masters degree. If I decide I want to go to a job, then I apply with a masters instead of a bachelors. My logic is that the salary jump from a bachelors to a masters will be a significant amount of the $10000 it took to get the masters. Another important reason is that I will be able to see my friends(mostly swimmers) that haven't graduated yet. That's the current grad school situation.

What does the immediate future look like? I maybe going to a Buffalo Sabers game with Sarah, we still have to work that out. After that we may go on to Toronto to the hockey hall of fame. Spring Break is just over two weeks away. It starts on the 10th, and I plan to leave after Japanese around 10 am. that day will be fun because it is Hilary's Birthday. Five days after that, it will be my mom's Birthday and my birthday, but why would I look forward to that. It will be nice to be home for a while, plus I plan on getting a significant way into "The Wolves of the Calla" which I just bought and have to start again.
