It's Been a Bit
What's happened since I last updated almost 3 weeks ago. The Brockport meet was calm. The Ben Folds concert was awesome as expected. I was walking to the end of the line when I saw Emily, so I hopped in line with her, Craig and Logan. I turned in the Take Five application after having it proofread and I feel pretty good about my chances. I find out on the 30th of Novembmer whether I got it or not. The Geneseo meet was fun, my parents were there in addition to Sin. The normal routine has been continuing with swimming, working, sleeping. I took a break from studying to see Wedding Crashers on Friday with Sin. It was a much better movie than I expected, funny and a good story. I did have my Physics GRE this past Saturday and it went okay, I just can't care that much about it now. After the test, I picked up the rental car (which Cornell will Pay for) and headed down to Cornell to continue doing the research project that just won't end. I got there and had to set up my system because parts were "borrowed" from it. It took less time then I expected. That's a good thing because it means I'm getting better at using optical components to set up a system. Senior Lab here I come! I didn't get measurements done which is discouraging. Sunday after Cornell I stopped at home for about 6 hours. That was really nice, just sitting around not doing anything enjoying being home, kind of a tease for Thanksgiving, which I can't wait for. That is the very condensed version of the past few days.
Now for what is coming up in the next few weeks(minus the usual swimming practice, working, and sleeping). I have a 10 page term paper due 3 weeks from today. I will be working on finding a topic, and working on it during this whole period, or at least that's the goal. Another meet this coming weekend against Brandeis, with Ithaca, should be fun. I'm going home for Thanksgiving either Tuesday the 22rd or Wednesday the 23rd, the more I think about it the nicer Tuesday looks for going home. On Thanksgiving I'm planning on giving blood. I return on Sunday the 27th, find out about Take 5 the 30th. The first weekend in December is the Liberty League meet, the next weekend is RIT. Classes end on the 12th, I have fina; papers due on the 18th and tests on the 18th, 19th and 20th. I will probably be leaving for break on the evening of the 21st.
