A Childhood Dream
When we’re young, each of us has a dream,
A dream of what our future should be.
The words of one of these misunderstood dreamers
Make it seem the future’s coming late for me.
At that age, everything’s possible,
What if it never comes true?
We all try our best to make it happen,
But there’s only so much one can do.
We get older, and get educated,
We have to make money to get by.
If this is where your dreaming ends,
I know you’re living a lie.
You don’t have to stop dreaming
Just because you’ve grown.
If money becomes your life,
You’ll spend all of it alone.
