okay, you win, tonsils.
so, this is it. i've gotten sick one too many times, and i'm giving in. i'm finally going to go get a referral to an ENT and have my tonsils removed over the summer.
first, it was the neverending cold of october. then, it was mono. then, it was another infection. now, it's pharyngitis. all because of these fucking tonsils.
it feels like i was gargling glass and decided to wash it down with a nice hot cup of razors and lemon juice. this time, my voice is almost completely gone, and i had to be prescribed prednisone in addition to the million other pills because the swelling is so bad i can hardly swallow. i mean, you can actually SEE my swollen glands through my face. i look like a chipmunk (lols, remember how shitty that was?).
yeah so: tonsils 1, me 0. you'll be free soon, guys. just please stop til june. i can't keep doing this.
eta: thank goodness for modern medicine. i think people like me just died back in the day. i woke up this morning and my throat was almost completely closed. i took that prednisone, and i can actually swallow again. my stomach feels like shit from all of this medication, but man is it nice to be able to drink water again.
