Originally uploaded by kittenlogicMSW was ridiculous this weekend. that place is getting absolutely bananas ... i say this every year, but it almost sucks that so many people are getting into knitting/spinning/crafting in general, because we go to these things and they're PACKED. we left at the same time we always do, but ran into a bit of traffic which put us behind, and when we got there, the lot was full up to the street and all the way across to the woods. ridiculous.

HOWEVER, the loot was amazing. littlebarn had this sale on that i almost thought was a joke ... 8oz of superwash BFL for $6.99? and 8oz of 90s/100s merino for only $7.99? i went nuts. i bought some, then went back and bought some more. i came out with 4lbs of superwash bfl, 1lb of the superfine merino, 8oz of optim, and 8oz of merino/silk for like $125. insane!

Originally uploaded by kittenlogicso there were some other things that were delightful. creativelydyed was there, and since i still have some of her gorgeous fiber left from rhinebeck (i'm too nervous to spin it without a definite goal in mind), i only bought two hanks. i got some GORGEOUS locks - and i never buy locks - which i can't wait to make into something pretty. and finally, some plain dyed merino in colors i don't usually do, so i had to pick it up.

i think jessica and i both made out like bandits, but i'm so put off by the crowds sometimes. there were so many booths we wanted to go into but couldn't because of the people just standing and looking around. i know people want to be social and everything, but there are people who want to shop. step outside if you just want to have a conversation!

of course we'll go again, but i have a feeling we'll never get as lucky as we did this time.

trips, fiber, spinning, msw
