i think i mentioned that ben's birthday celebration is tomorrow. so i came home yesterday so he and i could go have dinner and hang out. on the way home i stopped at the yarn store in cherry hill. it sucked. the ladies in there were standoffish, which is a common problem in yarn stores, i know. but both women were occupied with and even though i said i didn't need any help, they just sat there like i wasn't even in the store. that and their selection left much to be desired. i wasn't impressed.
soooo i went ahead to
my favorite yarn and fiber store in mt. holly, and almost bought everything in there! their yarn selection is incredible now. they keep getting more and more new yarns in. they know me by name and were totally so sweet and helpful. i left with the perfect yarn for my secret project and was happy, but have a ton of other things i want to make now. i don't even know what those things are yet. but i want to make them. i didn't think of it till i got home but i chose a different yarn than the pattern called for, so i need to pick up some size 0 needles because the ones i have are far too large.
that means boon and i will probably go up to hamilton and have dinner at
panera, which has the most delicious thing i have ever eaten. the fuji apple salad? oh. my. goodness. it is: "All-natural citrus-herb chicken, field greens, romaine lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, pecans, gorgonzola cheese, apple chips and a white balsamic & Fuji apple vinaigrette." it makes my heart sing and my tummy smile. then maybe even some
cold stone to finish the night off right.
when i was getting the link for cold stone, a link for cold stone's wikipedia page was also available. interested, i clicked on it and began to read, and finally realized why i love
donald sutherland so much. he's one of the company's co-founders. i love that the image of him on his wikipedia page is from my favorite movie ever. 100 bonus points if you know what that movie is without looking at the wiki page! (jessica and ben, you cannot participate.)
