first off, it's back to football season both here in the US and across the pond in Europe. the ducks looked very impressive, even if their uniforms are still a bit...oh...offensive. I still want to buy one of them when I get down to school...anyways, I've been trading youtube links online for the last forty minutes or so with my buddy jon, and I've found about five awesome Arsenal player videos, but here's one that everyone who has never watched a lot of soccer truly needs to see. You can't watch this and say it is a boring sport.

that first and last goals are just ridiculous. I think for the last one (from the '98 world cup) the Dutch announcer hyperventelated after yelling the player's name, Dennis Bergkamp, 8 times. such is the power of football...
anyways, I've been gourging on college football since thursday, and I can't wait to get down to the Eug for the Oklahoma game in a couple of weeks. which means I'm back at school in less than two weeks...which I think we would otherwise call "an ideal situation." I'm tired of work, I want to be back with my bros and all the rest of my friends. and let's not forget college women, because I could sure as hell use more of them in my life.
it was great to see some people - birdy, jing (and meeting jason, cool guy), jordan (! haven't seen you forever man, glad you're becoming a duck), allison, etc., etc. - tonight at shari's. a nice reminder that, yes, I do become a hermit during breaks and, no, I still have lots o' friends spread out around everywhere. reassuring when I'm feeling slightly down about things.
two more days of weekend (including car cleaning, probably on monday), four more days of work. I think I can handle that.
