good, bad, ugly #349

it seems I always have to take the good, bad and the ugly of life in balance. It is in that light that I now must pull a little bragging:

I got a freaking A in Info Hell!

due justice for a term spent toiling on that fucking thing, I say. Grade wise I ended with a 3.43, with that A in J202 paired up with an A+ in Poli Sci Russian Mafia, and a C+ in Japanese. Yeah, about that....I need to bring it up, but after thinking and talking with my parents, I'm going to stick with the major. might change away from the language intensive route that I'm currently on to the culture intensive option (which would mean fewer 400-level language classes, which means fewer kanji for me to memorize and die over) but I need to talk to people in the Japanese department about that when I get back to school. I'm pretty stoked about that, because it is definitely validation for all of my hard work last term.

another reason to be excited for next term, I suppose.

hung out with nick and peter for a while today...that was good fun as always. sorry I had to be the raincloud on the plans to go to Ground Kontrol, but somebody has to be the voice of reason when you're staring down running headlong into downtown Portland right near rush hour. it's not categorically smart. and I need to put more practice in on Guitar Hero, but at least I've got some confidence and, again, validation that I'm doing some things right (even if it is unorthodox).

metal gear solid 3 is an amazing, amazing game. just wanted to point that out.
