ha, i think i shall need to make you a soundtrack to your resident insanity, love. though putting the thought of a heartbreaking work of staggering genius made me retch a bit. and as for that thin line, isn't it better to walk it while slightly inebriated? helps the balance and all...

I don't remember it being as whiney as you say, but I do remember it being very self-referential so he may have talked about that at some point. Either way, it wasn't BAD, as you say, and I think the reason it was so well recieved was BECAUSE every person didn't do what he did. But that's just my opinion... I'm really more attracted to his style, not is character.

bad is a matter of opinion, and mine is that it was bad, sucked, blew, etc etc... and i still don't know what it is that was so freaking great that he did.. whatever darling, it's not worth arguing over. one of those agree to disagree and mutter in our respective corners about the others lack of taste. xo

Probably would be a good idea for me to join ANY kind of community advocating reading. I think I'm starting to forget my Hooked on Phonics courses.

i've heard that reading stimulates the nerve cells and such. and being free and all (besides cost to ship books), good brain food.
