hatred of the 'special' days

Man, I can't say that I am much of a fan of 'holidays' that are supposed to be mad special days ... i hate valentine's day with a firey passion and i'm sort of starting to think that I should maybe heap birthdays onto the same stinking pile. There are always all of these stupid expectations around these marked days and people (ok, i'm talking about myself here, who am i kidding) always get upset and petty and mad over things that happen/don't happen on set day just because it's 'The Day', wheras on any normal day they'd just be sane and normal and kind and not freak about little stupid things.

I heart my room-mate though. mmmmmmmm mango cake.
