i think i need a sunrise; i'm tired of sunsets
hi, my name is brandi and i love my new layout.
i barely ever update anymore. here's the reason:
my entire freshman year of college i was addicted to the internet. i had to check facebook 24/7 and i updated my lj pretty much every day and was on AIM allllll the time. my grades slipped.
i am now afraid of the computer.
i try to just get on, check what i need to check, and then get off - the only time i'm ever on for long periods of time is when i've got a task to complete, it's late at night & i'm bored, or when i'm watching a tv show or something. i wish i could just sit and think and be on the computer, but i'm so scared that i'm gonna get sucked into it all again and i really don't want to do that anymore.
but i guess while i'm updating i might as well update.
work is good. i like the people there, the time goes by fairly quickly, it's not stressful, and i'm pretty good at it. there's not really a better way to make money, is there?
i'm obsessed with this british tv show called skins. it's a teen drama unlike any other teen drama. it's scandalous, it's hilarious, the characters aren't all the pretty popular type, and most of all it's not safe. there's gay characters. they do drugs, they drink, they party, they have sex, and it's on tv. i don't remember where but somehow i came across a review in favor of the show that said something like, "no, it's not real - it's television. it's drama. but what's different about it is that the characters have real issues. and they drink and do drugs and they don't die. it's more real than anything else out there." i got shelby hooked on it, too. [oh and btw some of the guys from the show are my header.] i'm just sad that the producers are getting rid of the entire cast because they think they've gotten too old. wtf, man. they're my age. ugh. and one of them is THE most attractive man i have ever seen in my life. his name is mitch hewer and he plays a gay guy on the show but he's straight in real life and he's british with a british accent and omg google image search him right now and drool all over your keyboard.
last night whorelove went to the new hookah place in canton [right by my house, heck yes]. i don't smoke, but i find that hookah places are great for conversation. it was a really cool place and the people that worked there were super nice and gave us free cheesecake [i think because it was going bad, but hey free is free] and talked to us and yeah, it was awesome. one of the girls told us that their official grand opening is this friday night and because one of the owners is a DJ for 50 cent and kid rock and the like, there's gonna be a "SURPRISE SPECIAL GUEST!" so yeah i think i'm gonna go because i'm stupid and i wanna meet celebrities. anyway, last night was fun times. i missed whorelove.
ummmyeah. that's really all that's eventful lately.
i think i'm gonna try to post once a week. yeah, that sounds good.
