I feel like I'm fifteen...
Hi, my name is Brandi and I'm fifteen years old and I really love my boyfriend so I made a pretty picture. ...I'm a pathetic 20-year-old. Wondering about the text on the image? SO often we say the same thing at the same time. Even when we first met. It was (and still is, kinda) crazy. One time it happened and one of us, I don't remember who, said, "Get outta my head." So, yeah. I wanted to add text, had no idea what to put, and didn't want to put anything stupid and cheesy like, "my love" or "I love you" or anything so generic and gross that it would make me want to vomit. If I had, it'd probably knock me down in age from fifteen to about eleven.
Anywho, in other news, last weekend I went to Chicago to visit some cousins of mine who were having a first birthday/christening celebration for their daughter. Background info: When I say cousins, I mean I may or may not have any idea how closely related they are to me. Filipino families have extremely close ties, and anyone in your generation who's further out than your siblings is simply your cousin. So we stayed with my cousins and I call their baby my niece. It was a lot of fun - cousins came out from Colorado and California to be there. Some I had never even met before! But they were all super nice, and apparently my family loves to drink? We were at a barbecue and all my aunts and uncles were there too and everyone was just taking shots, haha. My Aunt Dawn was waaasted. They poured me a shot and my mom goes, "No, she's not twenty-one yet!" (I will be in three months, btw) and Aunt Dawn (whose house it was) goes, "Let her have it! I'm not checking!" So... yeah, my mom watched me take a shot, which was awkward. But I'm so glad that my family is so close and that everyone makes an effort to be there for each other and bond and have fun together. I'm excited to see them all again.
But NOW I'm excited to bum around in East Lansing at my apartment and not do anything but work in the lab (which isn't even like work most of the time), party with my friends, and hang out with my boyfriend. Summer is here and the livin' is easy. :D
