(no subject)
sooo i´ve been here for i don´t know how long. nothing too much has changed. uhh.. yah. my grammar class is still giving me trouble. i´ve come to the conclusion that i´m never going to understand my grammar teacher´s accent so i´m just going to try to decide what she says with her facial experssions and how fast/slowly she moves her arms around. our convo teacher wasn´t there today and we had this guy from north spain. i could actually understand him. so that was good.
thank you for the mini genuardi´s. it was greatly appreciated. the people in my class said thank you for the girl scout cookies. they downed the box within minutes. my senora nearly had a heart attack when i gave her my ovaltine to put away (yah, i know. i´m 5). she really had a heart attack this morning when she went into my room and saw a 10 pound box of food hidden in my closet. but thanks. it was nice to have actual american food.
my sleeping has been great. i´ve been getting 7-8 hours of sleep a night which is unheard of.
last night was a bit of a problem. well. i thought it was amusing. i went to turn on the hallway light, when i saw this spark fly from the light. just like that, all of the lights were out. no problem, just flip the fuse back. but sparks went flying again. and again. and once more. so today, three people from their family came over to try to fix the switch. i don´t know, i thought it was amusing.
i still haven´t seen my roommate. she has her own room which is nice, but it´s like ufo sightings. you think you see them, and you turn around and poof, they´re gone. i´ve only interacted with her twice, and i heard her talking last night. that´s it.
i´ve also noticed that everyone here is obsessed with antonio banderas. he was on tv last night and my house got about 3 phone calls to inform us of this. again, amusing. but creepy at the same time.
that´s really about it..i mean, i just go to class during the day, walk with a group of people home, eat, and then go out to cafe´s or walk around afterwards. we´re going to ronda on the 11th which should rock. but i´m really looking forward to the flemenco thing tonite. if i can figure out where we have to meet.
