I feel lighter now
We finally made a decision ... staying where I'm at will wind up the same take-home pay after a baby, due to the difference in childcare costs. But I'd have significantly less time with my own family at the new place, and I know more than most (because of my line of work) just how precious those first several years are.
I feel very peaceful about this decision and when I declined the job offer, I asked them to please keep my resume & keep me in mind, and in turn she asked me to please call her if anything ever changed with my job, so it's not a door that's closed, I merely chose not to walk through it at this time.
