I love Texas.

I say that without apologies. I am very proud to be from Dallas, Texas. Yes, it has its share of nondriving a-holes and all around bigot jerks. But, really, what state doesn't have them? While on that subject, please do not judge the second largest state in the USA by one city, namely, Houston. Houston is our fattest, ugliest, most disorganized and polluted city. I don't think its much of a stretch to say that most happy Texans don't like Houston. I know this all sounds very random.

I was doing research into the Garland, Texas housing conditions, and the search engine brought up these awful "I hate Texas" sites and blog entries. I miss Texas every time I'm away. The people have thus far been the friendliest I've encountered with the exception of Mormans from Utah. The land is beautiful. I love the Hill Country. I like the Plains. I love North East Texas. Maybe, we ought to give SE Texas to Lousiana. But, I even like the El Paso area.

I don't know. I guess reading about people's hatred of my beloved home state made me sad and homesick. Anyway, I'll be happy to be home soon. 12 days and counting...

On a final note: I miss Paul so much my chest aches.
