I started my job as a summer maintenance helper today. For 7 hours I repainted lines in the parking lot for the middle school while a maintenance person just stood there shaking a can so they looked like they were working. The weird thing is that didn't annoy me. It was just one of those situations that are perfectly understandable to get angry at but I just don't feel pissed off about.
The person I was working "with" is the uncle of taylor nock and matt whitimore. It is surprising at first, but I could see the similarities between the uncle and both of his nephews. If matt and taylor had a baby it would most likely be their uncle. It is true
I got a Creative Zen Vision:M, it is just like the new ipod video. 30gb, better resolution than ipod, and fighting the war against the idea that ipod means mp3 player. Even though I always have trouble saying "mp3" clearly.
Because of the video playing capabilities I torrented 9 movies in two nights. My collection now stands as old favorites, The Life Aquatic, Garden State (watched it too often need to lay off of it), Kung Fu Hustle, Kung Pow and new to me movies Donnie Darko, Fight Club, The Deer Hunter, and the Godfather Trilogy. I started watching Donnie Darko and it is the kind of movie that gets you in the mood for laughing at inappropriate things that would normally make you sad and shy.
I was thinking about what vacation would actually be fun or at least interesting afterwards and I think living in an Off the Grid community for a month with a few friends would be cool. One of those places where the people are all vegans and make all the resources they need to survive. It would be interesting if afterwards you realized you could live simpler. Anyone agree? anyone still using lj?
