Role-Play: Winter Ball
Alfred watched yet another server miss a woman looking for a drink. He couldn’t believe they had, especially considering the woman in need was wearing red. How could any decent server could miss that was beyond him. He looked around making sure Master Bruce, Rachel and anyone else wasn’t in sight before approaching a serve and tapping the young man on the shoulder.
“Excuse me for just a moment. I’m going to borrow this.” He carefully lifted the tray from the man’s hand and then balanced it on his. “Why don’t you go back to the kitchen and get another?”
Before the server could comment or stop him, Alfred slipped through the crowd with the tray of champagne. His first stop was the woman in red, who he complimented for being so daring. She rolled her eyes, but smiled anyway.
His mission complete, he started to make his way through the crowd, offering guests glasses even though he was a guest like them.
