Eastern sky at 11pm, but obscured by nearly-full moon; north-western sky a bit before dawn. I think I will be awake for both :D

Full Moon, 11:15 a.m.
American Indians had various names for Full Moons throughout the year. To the Cheyenne, the December Full Moon was the "Big Freezing Moon," and to the Lakota it was the "Moon of Popping Trees." To the Natchez it was the "Bears Moon, and to the San Juan and San Ildefonso Pueblo Peoples, it was the "Ashes Fire Moon." Interestingly, the Full Moon nearest the December Solstice rises higher in the sky than any other Moon of the year (for the Northern Hemisphere). It mirrors the motion of the Summer Sun.
Neat :)
