Okay. I like my job; I really do. But when I find myself up at both midnight and 6am, checking weather reports, and having been foiled in my attempts to get to my job at LEAST once a week this semester, I begin to rethink things. If the current forecast holds, and the projected snow/sleet arrives and/or keeps falling, I will miss my third day in a row. I will be forced to teach a PERFORMANCE class via the internet. This is why I applied to an extension campus. This is why I firmly stated that I did not want early morning classes this semester. And what am I doing? Driving two hours to teach a 9am class.
I'm talking to the department chair and seeing if he will transfer me back to the extension campuses. If not, I'm applying to some community colleges and hoping to God that some professional shows come through. 'Cause I am NOT doing this again. (On the upside--the "frustrated" kitten icon is pretty cute.)
