I am amazed at the stupidity of the general populace. First, people become raving idiots when faced with the difficult situation of giving their name and information to reserve tickets. I say "Okay. What's your last name." There is then a Pinter-esque pause, in which they hopefully contemplate the meaning of life, before replying, "Uh... Smith. Wait. Do you need my full name?" Well, yes I do, moron. But, as you may have noticed on every list since kindergarten, we usually list people by last name, first name. So... give me your damn last name!
This is only complicated by the fact that these same geniuses wait until Thursday afternoon to try to reserve tickets for Friday night. Now, just about EVERY SINGLE SHOW that is done on this campus is busiest on Friday and Saturday night. Theatre, music, whatever. Those two nights are always the biggest. So don't act surprised or offended when I tell you they're full. Neither should you try to weasel me into giving you "just two tickets." Especially if I told you the night before to put your order in FIRST THING IN THE FRIGGIN MORNING BECAUSE WE ARE ALREADY SOLD OUT.
And I'm spent. Opera Workshop can go blow itself.
