Day 1 of the SlimQuick diet

I've decided to LJ my journey about this supposedly fantastic SlimQuick that I keep hearing about and seeing the commercials :)

Soooooooooo, after reading all of the reviews about this SlimQuick stuff, I decided to buy it. I've read all kinds of reviews-- some saying it INcreases appetite and that it really doesn't work, but a majority saying that it does help shed unnecessary weight, even anywhere from 3-10 pounds in the first week. How could I not get excited?! Haha! I got the lemonade flavored packets; the first week, 2 a day, then the second week on it's 4 a day. First impressions-- if this really does work, it's going to be quite expensive to keep it up.

First day: I woke up much later than I thought I would today, since we went out to Toucans last night... so I had a late breakfast, which was actually a quite big breakfast. I drank the first dose, and immediately, I felt a burst of energy. It was actually pretty yummy! Like crystal lite. After I finished, I spent the whooooooole day drinking a crap load of water, and having to pee probably 10 times so far today. I'm guessing it's because the supplements reduce excess water retention, so it's my body getting rid of it all.

I took the second dose, hoping it'd energize me enough to go to the gym, but I didn't really feel like going. I have the energy, but I don't want to go. Weird. I totally thought I was going to want to go. Other than that, I really haven't had a lot to eat since breakfast-- i've had 2-3 small meals spread out during the afternoon, but it was only because I knew I should eat and not because I was hungry. I'm sure it's because of the hoodia (natural appetite suppressant). Usually on a little stress day like today, I can eat quite a bit (what can I say, I love food!)

Being pretty naive about it so far, I weighed myself a little while ago hoping I'd lost at least a pound or 2... well, seeing as how I forgot to weigh myself this morning, I'm not sure what exactly I've lost. I'd guess I hadn't lost much, but I really wouldn't know. lol

With all that said, let's see how my first few days go... if it goes well, I'm sure I'll keep it up.
And if it REALLY works, I'd ideally like to cancel my gym membership in the hopes that the 2 days I'm up at main campus' gym will be enough.
