UPDATED!
(Did i mention that Belinda was in a rush to pass me my birthday present just before I leave for my trips, just so that I can make use of what she gave me during the trips?)
Here's my pressie from Belinda!
Went on a Genting trip with daddy, smum, sister and Mike. Took a coach (WTS). Coach was comfy as we had the whole lower deck to ourselves, aircon blasting awaywith LEATHER massage chair for 8 hours. Obviously Mike wasnt happy with the 8hrs journey up the mountains. That guy hasnt been to Genting before. yes, SWAKU i know.
Food was extremely expensive up there. Stepped into casino for the first time, dont fancy the jackpot at all. Me and Mike got addicted to playing Big Small 大小 at the table. lost 300ringgit there, then borrowed 50rgt from daddy, won 600rgt and lost 300rgt again by the last day, 1hr just before we board the coach back.
No photos except for the above since i don't really like taking photos.
Oh, we both brought sister for the roller coaster ride as well. No luck at the theme park outside cos it suddenly became rainy and dark. :(
Just in case you find that i look weird, I havent got any make-up on, except the all-time saviour CONCEALER! ;)
The awesome view i had outside my hotel (The Excelsior). Manager thinks that booking an executive suite is much more worth it than the normal deluxe room, with free wifi and food vouchers for all meals provided during our 2days stay. So here I was, in the executive suite!
Training was tired and my voice almost went hoarse. Talking about the same thing to different clients over and over again.
SQ was good, food sucky thou. All the movies available have all been seen in the local cinemas. (Teaches me not to watch every single movie than screens, save for flights to HK!)
iPhone screen protector....
21st July 2010 ...
A yearly event for Mike to rent a car on my birthday, where we drive to everywhere or anywhere we wanted. Poor guy rented a Mazda 2 this time round, all zhnged with the VROOM VROOM sound.
Silly Mike bought me a cake from Sweet Secret and made himself the centre of attraction! (I don't even dare open up the cake and cut it in the italian restaurant we went!)
Had a well-deserved italian dinner of pasta at this place that
sherlynler recommended. Serves great food! A place off Upper Paya Lebar Road... Picked up my sis from Granny's place and went to Cineleisure's Swensens for ice cream. (the only 24hrs dessert place left other than the airport.). It was already 11plus pm.
No hotel/chalet stays this time round. Mike stayed over! ;)
Having spent so much on me during many occasions, Mike customized a name card holder for me, carving my name on the holder, just so that I look professional giving out my business cards to clients during trainings!
Love the cool black business card holder. (No picture of it, perhaps next post?)
Sadly, on the actual day, I had to work, and go home right after work. But well, Daddy din forget my birthday as well. Brought me to somewhere near our place for some tze char.
and of cos, thank you you girls for the wishes. ;D Simply cant get enough of the SMSes, MSN messages and FB messages as well!
25th July 2010 ...
Went to Centrepoint's Robinson for luggage shopping, and came home with a Samsonite luggage at offered price of $294/- (40% off retail price), for my frequent biz trips to Hong Kong. My permanent Krisflyer card came too! Striving for a silver kris by next year, based on the fact that I have to fly to Hk every 6-8 weeks for client trainings.
31st July 2010 ...
Mike was at my place, and after waking up from our nap, we decided to look for the car dealer who displayed his car ad on sgcarmart.sg...
and yes you got it right.......
we no longer need to rent a car during special occasions of the year...
WE HAD OUR OWN CAR FINALLY!
Well, let's just say, Mike bought the 2nd hand Suzuki Swift (OPC), and let me drive it.
Several dreams and wishes came through.
- I fulfilled my 'dream' of getting a car by the time i am 23.
I remembered having this as my msn nick when I was just 20yrs and drawing a not-too-bad salary from the bank, and was so motivated to get a car since I just started work. Although I did not get the car all by myself, Mike is there to fulfill it on my behalf.
- I mentioned that I wanted a boyfriend who doesnt own a car, and rather see him through together with him, to get a car. I did this too.
Obvoiusly, I didn't help much during this process, but at least, I see him increase his salary this past 1 year plus.
My salary is still as measly thou. :(
Thou it's just an OPC that Mike's getting, but it's a good start thou.
I kept asking Mike to justify himself, why he should get a car, (I don't really approve of him getting the car in the first place. Tough on him, tough on me, tougher on him in actual fact)..
We came to a conclusion in the end, we'll get an OPC since me, driving to Raffles Place for work is obviously a waste of money, and him, changing his teacher's job to working for Citi, doesnt require him to drive to work since his company is providing a 'taxi' card to him.
So OPC it is, and season parking at my place! =D
So, who's asking me out on Sundays and weekdays after 7pm?
We are both so excited about getting the car next week , thinking of what to buy to deco the car in fact. :))))))
That's how the month of July was spent, quite dramatic as well, there's high and there's low...
(Skipped about the part on s.mum's mum's funeral shortly after I left home for my HK trip, where she died peacefully, and rushing to the grand funeral the moment I touched down in Singapore after the HK trip.)
*Although our anniversary was in May.. I am so LAZY to update another entry on anniversary, so i've posted everything here!
Will be going to HK AGAIN for biz trip from 18-20th August. Should I stay over the weekend by myself?
