I have to say that I agree with this gentleman:
"It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us the freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protestor to burn the flag." - Father Denis Edward O'Brien, Sergeant, USMC
Also, last night I heard this amazing song. I searched for lyrics to no avail. The only line I have was this.
"I don't want another perfect stranger." It was very 80's esque and wonderful.
Oh and guess what? I got my sparklers! Chris and Tiffany gave me a whole package! YAY!
My 4th wasn't awful. But it wasn't as fun as last year. No fireworks. No swimming. I had to work from 8-midnight. Elizabeth and I went to Walmart afterwards and I bought The Breakfast Club, but that was all the excitement there was.
