(no subject)
So after what felt like a zillion phone calls made and many many apartments rejected for lack of space, lack of sunlight, lack of cash, or lack of any desire whatsoever to live in a craphole like some of the apartments we've seen, we have found the perfect apartment. And it was totally by accident.
We had an an appointment to see a very nice looking apartment in Brighton, which is FUCKING FAR. But after seeing a lot of sketch neighborhoods on the hill we decided it was time to reconcile ourselves to the possibility of a commute. Then our realtor blew us off. Fuck him. So we called this random dude on craigslist, figuring, what the hell, right? And we discovered the most AMAZING apartment in Brookline, in a beautiful building, in an adorable neighborhood. It's ENORMOUS. No, like seriously.
HUUUUUUUUGE.
3 bedrooms, hardwood floors throughout, lots of windows, huge bedrooms, a fireplace (A FUCKING FIREPLACE!!!!)back porch, and a good size eat in kitchen. And a foyer! We have a foyer! Nothing says "I have space that I don't need, and serves no real function, except to be charming" like a foyer.
All for a price we can certainly afford.
So that happened. We wandered around Coolidge Corner for an hour or two, trying to let it sink in that this STEAL OF AN APARTMENT WOULD BE OURS!!!! Happy making.
DID I MENTION WE HAVE A FIREPLACE???
I'm a huge dork.
As You Like It opens soon. Very soon. 5 days. Tech starts tomorrow, and I think I might be crapping my pants. But it will be amazing. Everyone come and see it or you are dead to me. seiously.
