stuff and nonsense

I just had my first normal menstrual period in years! Woo hoo! Never thought I'd feel grateful for tolerable cramps. Only weird thing was that I had about 6 days of PMS which was not fun. My doctor waved that off as inconsequential but I'm hoping it's not a trend. If it is I'm going to have to buy way more The Smiths albums. Maybe even The Cure. My Wonderful Roommie suggested NIN but I don't usually feel rage. Maybe I should. I know there's all sorts of unexpressed rage in here somewhere. There's gotta be. It's a statistical near-certainty.

Yesterday in class one of my students got irritated at his lab partner named Mohammed, so he exclaimed "Jesus Christ, Mohammed!". My loud laugh echoed in the room. The kid blushed and Mohammed giggled. Yes, giggled.

My wonderful Alarm Clock of Doom totally sucks. It's supposed to use gradually increasing light, sounds and smell to wake me up. The light part isn't working anymore, and apparently the smell bit depends on being heated by the lamp, so now I have a space age looking alarm clock that uses sound to wake me. Or not wake me as the case may be. The receipt should be somewhere in the house, I hope.

My bff says she's worried about me. This disturbs me. She's not a worrier by nature. She has held the title of bff since the first day of school of the first grade, and knows me ridiculously well. I wonder what she sees that I don't. I worry me, but not more now than at many (many) other points in my life. Don't know. Care.
