(no subject)
I'm still away, and exhausted and haven't read anything here in days. But I've had a full couple of days and need to write something before some new idea pushes the old ones out. Yesterday I drove for a few hours through the periphery of Hurricane Dean. The rains were impressive, but I've driven through worse wind in Chicago. The rain drops battering the car made a beautiful sound. Which was especially notable since I lost my voice and couldn't really carry on a conversation with my BFF. We were on our way to see friends we hadn't seen in an average of 5 yrs. And I was/am mute. Should write more on the reunion later. I have the notebook where I wrote my side of every conversation so I have an oddly well-documented weekend. My friends are amazing people.
Only have a few days left here so I should go to sleep, so I can get up early and go to the beach.
