OMG. I'm getting so sick of Kara. I sat for her yesterday morning, this morning, and I'm going back this evening *frown*
Anyway. My family has taken to obstructing my computer usage, but at least I'm managing to get things done anyway.
Fandom: Harry Potter
Title: Slavering Flibbertigibbets
Rating: PG
Warning: Het
Pairing: Charlie/Luna
Summary: Luna is off looking for another interesting creature…
Notes: Indirectly spawned by a conversation with Al :)
“So what did you say you were after?” Charlie asked helpfully, peeling off his dragonhide gloves and turning to smile at the blonde woman watching the now-slumbering Opaleye pups intently.
“Slavering Flibbertigibbets,” she replied serenely, she repeated, smiling as beatifically as ever. “I don’t suppose you’ve seen any?”
Charlie was relatively certain that he’d never even heard of those things-they sounded entirely made-up to him-but answered politely, “I’m not sure. What do they look like?”
“Like very large peacocks,” the woman explained seriously, gesturing with her arms, “only with teeth like lions.”
Charlie stared. Is she mad? “I haven’t seen any,” he stated carefully, studying her. She looked almost familiar… “If you leave me your card, I’ll let you know, though,” he added helpfully, thinking that very unlikely, judging by her description of the beasts.
After a moment of watching him with her head cocked slightly to the side-appraising him, he couldn’t help but think-she seemed to deem him worthy, and began rummaging through the bag on her left shoulder.
Eventually, she handed him a battered-looking magazine, smiling again. “The address is on page three,” she explained, “Thank you!”
Before Charlie could say anything-or even look at the magazine, for that matter-the woman gave a little wave and Disapparated.
After a moment, he noticed that he was holding a copy of The Quibbler. Snorting, he looked at the address, though he rather doubted it would tell him who the woman was, or why she looked familiar.

Oh, Lovegoods-aren’t they just over the hill? I’ll have to ask Mum sometime… he thought absently, rolling up the magazine and stuffing it into his back pocket before heading toward his quarters for a shower before dinner.
