Yup, so officially one of the best weekends ever. I'm surprised I actually have time to update this... ok, so I really don't cuz my writing paper is due tomorrow, but I'm handing it in Thursday anyway. Rebel... :-P
Yesterday was fun, except for the sleep deprivation part. This hugely corpulent guy sat in the seat next to me and Cassie on the bus to NYC and he SNORED like whooooa. I kept waking up because he was just out of control.
We went to the Guggenheim Museum which would have been more interesting if we had a guide take us through. I'm not really interested in museums unless I'm learning actual interesting stuff about it. I dunno, I guess I have to be in the right mood to appreciate art. Yesterday I was not in the mood. So we walked to the Met next and got lunch and looked at some stuff. That wasn't so bad cuz they had artifacts. I like that stuff... it's the millions of pointless portraits and the stupid painters who think "Black Square" qualifies as art. Hm, I think they stole my kindergarten paintings. I should be getting paid for that shit.
Anyway, we were allowed to go elsewhere in the city, so Cassie and I walked to 42nd street and walked around there and we went to Central Park on the way. On the way back we saw breakdancers in the street, which was fun until the cops came. We got back to the Met and still had over an hour to kill, so I called Dan and talked to him for over an hour. It was fun, he sang to both of us haha.
Then today was my all-day dress rehearsal for the rectital. (WHICH EVERYONE IN THE WORLD SHOULD COME TO... IT'S MY LAST ONE, YOU MUST GO!!!) I got there around eight and had to curl Ally's hair yet again haha (every year, man) and started dancing around nine. My feet are killing me... I didn't sit down much at all. The dance I choreographed looks so amazing, I'm so proud of them... also another reason I'm excited for recital... everyone must critique my first public dance number.
The only thing about today was that I had to take all my jewlery off... which meant removing the lanyard bracelet I made at VBS this summer, which I'm very attached to. I can't figure out if there's a way to put it back on. And I had to take my nosering out, and it closed slightly, so it hurts now that I've put it back in. Oh well... I must also mention that making an appearance at church with my I Love Rock'n'Roll costume on was quite amazing.
