The London Expo was...interesting to say the least. It's been a number of years (Four, by my count) since I was last there for the Games Stars Live show back in 2003. Rather than join my UPAS chums on the 6:30am train (Or whatever time it left) from Portsmouth on Saturday, I travelled up the previous day, and set out in the morning from Walthamstow to meet them arriving at Waterloo.
There were originally plans for a lot more people to come, but four (Including me), was probably managable enough, considering we had to get across to Custom House/ExCeL without using the Jubilee Line. Once we joined the mammoth line for a £8 entry ticket, the attendants pointed out that we could grab late fast-track tickets for £10 for the next three minutes.
£2 to skip a one hour plus queue? Sold! (Although I did get a free cupcake from a Chi cosplayer before we ran off for fast track tickets).
And so, we were in!
Credit should be given to Team Giblets, which includes our founder for creating some excellent t-shirts (And turning a profit out of the whole event).
I've got a day off tomorrow, i'll finish the write up then.
