105.1 in a Taxi and a “Paki-Explain” Moment

Last Thursday I finally got the Optra back! I had it repaired due to an accident that happened months ago. Just a backgrounder, a company pick-up truck hit it badly while the car was parked and I was at Starbucks Congressional Avenue. Good thing someone, a customer of The Old Spaghetti House who apparently was also at Starbucks, told me that the car was hit. The company gave me a hard time making them take responsibility. Well, the car’s now fixed, nevertheless. Going back to my story, I took the cab going to Aimogo (where I had the car repaired). Usually, the cabs that I take have the radio stations tuned in to stations that have tag-lines like “Puwede,” Kailangan pa bang i-memorize ‘yan?” and “Alam mo na ‘yan,” just to name a few. I was really surprised when I heard Eileen Sison talking about Bossa Nova from the cab’s radio! The driver was listening to Crossover 105.1! I thought to myself, “Ok ‘to a! Sosyal!”

When I was on my way home (I think), I saw this driving school car. Is there something wrong with the sign or is it just me? Paki-Explain...
