An exhibition of glass works by Martha Kauppi
This exhibition of glass by Martha Kauppi integrates blown and lampworked design elements in fused,
framed panels. Kauppi's work, through images ranging from abstract to semi-realistic, explores the ways
that light, both actual and figurative, can sneak into a dark place and interrupt it, transforming mood,
energy, perspective, and even reality.
This work will be exhibited on the main floor of the Wisconsin Union (Lakefront on Langdon Gallery)
from September 28th to November 6th, 2007.
Please join us for an opening reception Friday, September 28th from 7-9 pm in the Main Lounge
(off the Porter Butts Gallery on the 2nd floor of the Union).
