Appearance: Standing at 5'6", 113 pounds, Karin has a very curvature body with a balanced chest and hips, nice heart-shaped face. Her hair is of a crimson-scarlet colour and is very long on the left side, going down to the beginning of her back, and the bangs framing her face, while the other side is cut short, above her shoulders and sticks up in odd ends with many many layers. She has slanted red eyes, the same colour has her hair and is very pale. She wears thick-rimmed glasses though it is unnecessary, and dresses in whatever makes her look good -- she thinks is cute -- or is comfortable.
Personality: At times, Karin comes off to be a snob. She is very stand-offish and scarcely speaks to anyone. She chooses to keep to herself, finding that most people are stupid or ignorant, or a little bit of both. At most times, when a person speaks to her, she usually ignores them or ,if they're lucky, she'll respond in a rude or mean tone. This works for everyone, even adults. She believes that no one deserves kindness from her. Well, only certain people, but everyone else can just fuck off. At times, she can also be very flirty, especially towards guys she really likes. She's very determined and is often willing to do anything to get what she wants. And when she doesn't... Well, the outcome is obvious.
If you get past that first layer of her personality, you'll meet her temper. This is where she resides the most. It's very easy to get her angry, and very hard to get her out of it. Karin has a terribly short temper, and just about everything gets her angry. Most of the time, she is able to restrain herself with certain techniques, whether it's hair-pulling, nail-digging, or anything of the sort. Often, it's a struggle for her to keep her anger under control, but she -does- try. Towards people that she thinks doesn't deserve it. Most of the time though, she's usually just very mean or rude, very few times can someone make her so mad that she'll revert into enraged-tantrum mode. Everything and anything can make her angry and she has a tendency to overreact over things that embarrass her, choosing to get pissed off instead of thinking of some more rational solution.
There is a another side of Karin though. Even if she does act like a typical rebel teenager, it's very hard for someone to befriend her. She is very paranoid around people and often think they have an ulterior motive of some kind. But if it happens though, she becomes terribly loyal to them -- especially towards people she really cares about. She will often try to help them when possible though usually acts like this is troublesome, or that she doesn't want to do it. She can be very generous and kind when she wants to, even if it doesn't benefit her though she usually thinks about this. At times, she is very nervous, and often worries about how people think about her. Because of this, she is obsessed with her appearance and her reputation.
Abilities: Karin has the innate ability to track anyone thanks to their chakra presence. She can follow anyone, know when someone's sneaking up on her, able to distinguish indivdual people from afar, and notice changes in their chakra. It is so fine-tuned that she can tell people apart exactly, what kind of person they are, and so on and so forth. She's very good with some medical procedures, and knows her way around the human body, thanks to experimentation.
History: Like almost all Oto-nin, Karin's history is unknown. There no idea where she is from, what she did originally, why she came to work for Orochimaru, or anything of the sort. It was just the fact that she's been there for a long time to a point where everything became routine to her. She assisted Orochimaru in his experiments, obviously skilled with dissecting and taking apart the human body, as well as implanting things in there that really shouldn't be. Unfortunately, she was moved to work at one of the prison bases as a guard and remained there even after she heard that he died -- just out of disbelief more than anything else.
Soon after, she was picked up by Uchiha Sasuke and Hozuki Suigetsu, joining them after much reluctance -- or flirtatiousness, depending on how you look at it. THen they were off to pick up Juugo, and after that, it was hunting time. Team Hebi, as they were now known as, were intent on finding Uchiha Itachi for their leader to kill him, naturally. However, as they got closer to where Itachi was, Kisame stopped them, and Sasuke soon went on ahead. The others were forced to remain there and were not supposed to fight under orders of their leader, but Suigetsu did so anyways, Karin joining in only because she could.
False memories: Though much of her false memories parallel her actual ones, there is a drastic change on the fact that she used to attend an academy. She was there as a student, albeit, not a very good one and soon after she arrived, she met someone known as L. They hit it off quite well, soon going on dates and what not, but a bit after, murder started to happen. However, Karin didn't think much of this, just preferring to be with her L. Unfortunately, after the third murder or so, L took her to a hotel room to tell her some news -- that he was in fact, not L, but B. She took that a bit better than she did him being the murderer. Fortunately, she stayed loyal to him, being absolutely innately in love with him. Events followed, including Karin beating up her roommate out of anger, participating in kidnapping her for the purpose of B, and then going to the final murder sight where the real L was being tormented by her darling lover. Unfortunately, becauseof Heine, B passed out half way through, causing the ultimatum to go unfinished.
A year later, B was an attendent of the mental hospital, and Karin was a senior. She still visited him, loving him and everything, but the visits were not as frequent as she hoped and soon began to cease after a 'fight' between the two. Then she met Mello where she was not supposed to even talk to him, but intent on getting close enough to hurt him because of what he did to her beloved, she did. What she did not expect was to actually start liking him, and after seeing a video of B and Heine passionately kissing, going to him for consolance. And so, she's been staying with him ever since, moving from cuddle buddy to an actual sexual partner.
