Nando's fic

So, a while ago, in the spirit of Cheeky Nando's and a rewatch of Band Candy, I became convinced that there needed to be a fic in which Spike, Ethan Rayne and Mr. Trick went to Nando's. I started writing this fic, but, as usual, it developed a premise for A Plot and I had to leave it. However, looking at it in the cold light of this Saturday ( Read more... )

Go Hornets! Or whatever they say.

I think this fic is an illustration of all the reasons why I have never been in a Nandos, cheekily or otherwise. You have to get your own drinks? What sort of civilisation is that?!

I do feel there needs to be more.

Go go! etc.

Only if you want Coke! The other stuff you get at the bar. And if you have a bottomless soft drink you can mix all the parts together however you want...

Well, maybe there will be at some point.

This is so ridiculously funny I was going with the bathos of Spike's life, and Ethan's wet hippydom and all, but then you go and throw a plot at me. Lots of plot, in fact. Even if it's just a post-death thing, why is Buffy with Spike now? And if it's more than that... *drumroll* what is going on with Wolfram and Hart?

I know!!! It was supposed to be just a funny little skit, and then the blokes needed something to chat about and then the news from the front lines of KPMG was this whole thing. (Mostly, I think it was a solution to the plot problem that Spike wasn't not enjoying things enough to need rescuing anyway. But that is no excuse.) Stupid Wolfram and Hart.

Although Ethan is not wet. :P
